BLACK & WHITE PHOTOGRAPHY
The Zone System is a scale of eleven tone values. The darkest being pure black, the lightest being pure white. Black is Zone 0, white is Zone X and neutral gray is the middle zone, which is Zone V (5)
In this picture, i marked Zone I on the tree part because it is near black and no texture. For Zone II i marked it on the tree leaves which is still dark but have textures. Then for Zone III i labelled it on the tree because that average dark. Zone IV it can be see at the water is average dark foliage. For the Zone V i marked it on fish traps because middle gray but still can see the textures . At the Zone VI i labelled it on the clouds because it is textured light middle gray. And for Zone X i marked it on the boat because it was pure white and had no texture.
In this photo i marked Zone III for black and blue because of the very dark tones that show the visible texture. Zone IV is marked on the tree because it is darker than average. For Zone V i labeled it on the building that was red because that color was the original color. I marked IV at the roof because the colour it gets brighter. Zone VII it can be see at the yellow color it on the bulding because hite with detail. For Zone X I mark there because pure white, no detail or texture.
